Welcome to Shoreline Motel

Shoreline Motel, located at 16526 Aurora Ave N in Shoreline, Washington, offers a modest yet genuine lodging experience. This three-star motel stands out not through luxury, but through its distinct character and heartfelt hospitality. Visitors often note the motel’s older charm; some elements, like the blankets and lighting, may reflect its age, yet cleanliness and comfort remain consistent priorities upheld by the dedicated husband-and-wife owners.

Guests frequently commend the personal touch provided by the management. Their kindness and attentiveness create a welcoming atmosphere that transcends the motel’s simple facade. From personally assisting guests in unexpected ways to fostering a community spirit—as exemplified by hosting a communal Thanksgiving meal—the owners embody a rare warmth that defines Shoreline Motel.

While the motel’s location on Aurora Avenue places it near various challenges, such as encountering some rougher elements and occasional law enforcement presence, many travelers feel safe and comfortable here. The proximity to decent dining and shopping options enhances convenience. Inside the rooms, amenities such as free Wi-Fi, free parking, cable TV with a good channel selection, and nearly full-size refrigerators add practical value for longer stays.

Recent improvements under new ownership are noteworthy. Fresh paint, new carpeting, and updated bedding have elevated the guest experience, making stays more pleasant and appealing. The management’s prompt response to guest concerns further enhances the sense of reliability and care.

In sum, Shoreline Motel may not be a polished luxury destination, but it excels as a clean, comfortable, and safe haven with authentic hospitality. It meets the needs of visitors seeking practicality and warmth near Seattle’s outskirts, especially those who appreciate genuine human connection over superficial amenities. For travelers prioritizing kindness, community, and convenience, Shoreline Motel stands as a quietly commendable choice.

The place is a little older, the blankets are bizarre and thread bare , the lighting is dark, and it's right on Aurora and across from the methadone clinic but it was very clean, very comfortable, and the husband and wife that own and manage the place were nice and very sweet. They went out if their way to help us when they didn't have to at all. They've been on Aurora and dealt with drugs and prostitution and have been ripped off, lied to, stolen from, talked down to, and after all that they still went out if their way to be kind and helpful.

I was here for a month last year... PROS: - Close to decent food and shopping - Cable was good. Tube TV, but good channel selection - Almost full-sized fridge/freezer! -Owner/staff were nice. Owner paid for a full Thanksgiving dinner for guests there that we all communally cooked. CONS: - A few interesting people staying/living/hanging around here. Cops showed up twice over the month. May have a bit to do with being across the street from methadone clinic. - Vent fan in room broke. - Loud due to neighbors bumping music and Aurora Ave traffic. I'm sure if I was in the back of the hotel this would have been less. Not the cheapest motel in town...I'm not sure how they would do it if you were staying for multiple months/years. May be a better price then... Overall, I liked the spot. Others do too...they do have some longer-term folks who have stayed there for awhile.

First of all, the manager there that helped us was extremely polite and knowledgeable and seemed to have a good answer for every question we threw at him. I felt safe and was comfortable. The rooms were clean and the management was prompt addressing any concerns. I would stay again and will recommend this motel to friends and family. Thank you for making our stay effortless, we appreciate your kindness and service.

Completely different this year, I think under new ownership. Room was way nicer than last time I stayed, new carpet, fresh paint, new bedding. Way more bang for my buck than most of the motels I have stayed at on the same highway. Will stay again next year.

Wonderful owners. They are always checking to see if I nees toilet tissue etc. It's clean quiet and no drama she don't deal with that. So even being on Aurora I feel safe with my daughter.
